Why we love wood

Planking wood can be full of surprises! It's akin to a loud and oversized version of pass the parcel, but with a chainsaw! During our recent project, we discovered 16 nails embedded at different depths in an apple tree. It seems that over the years, various objects were repeatedly nailed to the tree as it continued to grow!

Planking wood allows you to experience the history of the tree. It reveals signs of disease, various weather conditions, impacts like limb removal, and even insect activity within the tree.

Some of the most stunning designs in wood are discovered in nature, ranging from dragon eyes to intricate patterns formed by burrs or diseases.

We love taking a felled tree and repurposing it to create unique products that showcase as much of the tree's natural beauty as possible.
